Horticulture and Food Processing
The department encourages farmers to shift from traditional farming to fruit and vegetable cultivation through new techniques like micro irrigation, green house etc. so that their income can increase. Under Food Processing, workshops for Canning Bakery, Cooking Diploma course and training for setting up food processing units, etc are conducted for value addition of food items.
