Meeting to review the status of paddy purchase in the division

Under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Shri Sanjay Goyal, a meeting to review the status of paddy purchase being done under the Kharif Marketing Year 2021-22 was held on 23 December 2021. While reviewing the challenges related to purchase of paddy at 312 purchasing centers of the Division, he gave necessary directions and expressed displeasure on only 37 percent paddy purchase done so far against the set target. The Commissioner also expressed dissatisfaction on finding that the total number of farmer verification done so far was much less as against the number of farmers registered and that the farmers were made to wait to sell their paddy even after the token was issued to them.
