    Divisional review meeting of non-tax revenue collection and development projects on priority

    Divisional Commissioner, Shri Sanjay Goyal, took monthly divisional review meeting.

    Instructed officials to expedite implementation of schemes/ infrastructure works and improve revenue collection.

    The Divisional Commissioner, Shri Sanjay Goyal, took a divisional review meeting of non-tax revenue collection and development projects at Gandhi Auditorium on July 13, where all the concerned departments were instructed to expedite the revenue collection process by running a special campaign. The meeting, however, commenced with Shri Goyal, launching the divisional website prayagrajdivision.nic.in in the presence of all the District Magistrates of the division.

    While reviewing the revenue recovery of the electricity department and complaints of pending government department electricity bills, he directed the concered officers to expedite the recovery work by coordinating with respective departments. For pending bills of secondary schools, he asked the electricity department to submit updated bills and directed the Chief Development Officers of all the districts to coordinate with the electricity department in the recovery of bills. 

    While reviewing the Mining Department works, the commissioner asked the officials to expedite the process of levying fines by seizing the overloaded vehicles. Disappointed with the absence of Deputy Director Mandi from the meeting, he called for an explanation from him and directed the Mandi officials present to ensure that all CCTV cameras installed in the Mandis were operational 24*7. 

    While reviewing the projects worth over Rs 50 crore, the Commissioner expressed displeasure over the slow progress of construction work at Medical Colleges in Kaushambi, Pratapgarh and Fatehpur and directed the DMs of the respective districts to expedite the work. He also asked DM Prayagraj to ensure that pending work of District Court, Prayagraj, got completed on time. Regarding the construction of various bridges in the division, he directed the DMs to fix all problems related to land acquisition as soon as possible.

    For works of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana and of the Agriculture Department, he directed the Chief Development Officers to get all pending form-related work of farmers finished at the earliest. Regarding the crop insurance scheme, to ensure that farmers can get benefit of the insurance in time, he directed the officers to work on increasing the number of claims by identifying all people who have suffered. Reviewing Animal Husbandry Department wor, he directed officials to complete all pending cow protection shelter home works soon and ensure that fodder, drinking water and other amenities are available in these shelters.

    He also took updates on Ayushman Bharat scheme and directed officials to ensure that maximum people get benefited by the scheme. For golden cards, he asked the officials to identify all eligible people and make their cards by organizing camps in villages. He said, Special attention must be given to Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, ambulance services, and the fact that ambulances reach the patient within time fixed by the government. Reviewing the Maternity Health Program, he expressed displeasure over the low percentage of payment to the beneficiaries in Prayagraj and said that the officials should work on improving the situation. He also directed the Panchayati Raj Department to complete all construction works of community toilets and panchayat buildings soon.

    Regarding water pipe line and sewerage work, being done under AMRUT scheme, he directed for regular monitoring and making door-to-door water connections available under the drinking water scheme. Under Prime Minister/Chief Minister Awas Yojana Rural, he directed the officials to achieve the annual target of housing construction by July, while for Social Welfare Department works, he said the benefit of all such schemes including old age/widow/divyangjan pension schemes, scholarship schemes and Kanya Sumangala Yojana, should reach to the eligible beneficiaries with all transparency.

    District Magistrate Pratapgarh, Shri Nitin Bansal, District Magistrate Prayagraj, Shri Sanjay Khatri, District Magistrate Kaushambi, Shri Sujit Kumar, District Magistrate, Fatehpur, Smt Arpuva Dubey, Chief Development Officers of all the four districts and the Divisional Officers of the concerned departments were also present at the meeting.
